What are the neighbors saying?
Recently I started reading Fort Wayne Observed*, a local blog edited by city councilman Mitch Harper, because I wanted to read about the goings-on around Fort Wayne. Why, just today I found out about a monthly bike ride called Critical Mass, which happens the last Friday of every month at 6:30 pm and seeks to make people aware of bicyclists on the roads.
I was pleased to find a huge list of blogs written by Fort Wayne residents, starting about halfway down the left side of the page. Want to know what the neighbors are saying? Whether you like to read political opinions, personal stories, news, or anything else, you’ll find some interesting reading!
Get to know your neighbors. They have a lot to say!

The Willoughbys by Lois Lowry
In honor of National Poetry Month, here is a badly written senryu review of The Willoughbys by Lois Lowry:
A hilarious
book, not The Giver at all.
Read and laugh – a lot.
Don’t say I didn’t warn you – a terrible poem, but a fantastic book. This is the best children’s book that I have read this year. To see what others think about The Willoughbys (and not everyone agrees with me) check out the ACPL Mock Newbery blog post about it by clicking here.

ACPL Kids Blog
The Allen County Public Library is certainly enhancing its web presence with the use of blogs. In the last few months, the Children’s Services department has jumped in with both feet with the ACPL Kids blog. We’d love to have you visit us online. If you have an extra minute or two, click here to take a survey (I promise it’s really quick and painless.) We really want to know what you think about the ACPL Kids blog and how it could be improved.
